We welcome the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution No. 2799 (2025), which delists H.E. Ahmed al-Sharaa, President of Syria, and H.E. Anas Hattab, Minister of Interior of Syria, from the relevant UNSC sanctions list.

We will continue to support these and similar steps aimed at erasing the negative legacy of the former era on the current Syrian administration and the Syrian people, lifting sanctions entirely, paving the way for Syria’s integration into the international community, and achieving sustainable stability and development in the country.
