We have learned with deep sorrow the terrorist attack perpetrated against a church in the city of Rouen, northwest of Paris, yesterday (26 July 2016), which resulted in the brutal murder of a priest. We strongly condemn this attack which targeted a priest and innocent people worshipping in a holy place.

These terrorists, who target the most sacred values, have nothing to do with religion or humanity.

Turkey will continue to be in full solidarity and cooperation with France in the fight against terrorism. We extend our sincere condolences to the French people and wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
