We strongly condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated against a prison belonging to Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Mogadishu on August 31st. We wish God's mercy on the members of Somalian security forces and civilians who lost their lives in the attack and convey our condolences to their families.

The successful repelling of the attack is important as it reveals the resources and capabilities attained by the Somalian security forces in their fight against terrorism.

Turkey will continue to support the people of Somalia and the work of the Somalian government aiming at ensuring peace and stability throughout the country.
